Found it.
Sorry for the long hiatus! Since Finn was a brown crayon, we had a lovely Thanksgiving at Aunt Lynne’s, then a visit with Grandma and Grandpa. Finn got to play with Great-Grandma Marie (and later show her the Academy of Sciences), and meet his newest cousin, Walker. Ahma visited for Finn’s birthday, and lots of family and friends celebrated with us. Christmas was at Auntie Jo and Uncle Nolan’s, where Finn had a grand time (Cousin August being big enough to enchant him, but small enough not to object when Finn hogged his toys)! He got lots of great stuff, and his first experience with snow. We drove into the hills for a half-inch of the white stuff, and after all the hype about snowballs I think he was a little let down. (He quickly asked for his OTHER balls, the ones that aren’t so cold!)
New Year’s Eve was spent with our good friends (and Finn’s), Elisabeth, Andy and Leah. Grandpa Greg arrived in February for lots of sketching, climbing the chairs, fort-building, and one particularly fun Jimi Hendrix song. Finn was lucky to get another visit with Cousin Walker, and finally meet Cousin Atticus. Early this month we made an unexpected trip to Seattle where we were fortunate to have some time with my old friends Alex and Christian, and their son Nicholas. Finn and Nicholas were trading shrieks in no time, and had the run of the Flight Museum.
The winter has been busy but good. Finn sings “Yellow Submarine” and the Oompa Loompa song daily. He draws lots of spirals and circles. He builds tall towers and airplanes and cranes and hammers out of blocks. He regularly tells us he’s not a little baby anymore, he’s a kid! Yup, he is.

This is the best part of presents arriving!

It was a very merry Christmas with Auntie Jo and Cousin August.

Tough guys!

When asked, “What do you want to be for Halloween?” Finn replied, “A Crayonnnn!” When asked, “What color?” He quickly replied, “Bwowwwn.” So like magic, Finn’s Mama with her trusty needle and thread, whipped together the outfit which made Finn the Brown Crayon. (some of this story may or may not be totally 100% true.)

The lil’ man of the house yelled, “Ah-ma!” whenever visiting Grandma Laurie was in a different part of the house. It kind of sounded like Ralph Kramden of the Honeymooners yelling, “Alice!”.. kind of endearing and scary at the same time.

I have a hard time imagining Finn on a bike not to mention the leap to the future when he gets to drive. Until then he can dream about driving “mama’s cah.”

Kite kiss.

Finn hated the life jacket (not seen here).
