Gregg, Finn, and family weekend walks!

Great Grandma Jo works her magic when at first, Finn doesn’t know what to make of this contraption that we stuck him in.

Smiles and coaching from Auntie Jen draws the boy Finn in.

And before you can say, “There-there boy,” he’s flying like a pro.

And then there is Finn’s dad’s attempt at an artistic shot complete with his shady hat on backwards (see label sticking out). You can almost hear the beatniks snapping their fingers.

And finally the swing has been mastered and the reward… resting contently in Great Grandma Jo’s arms.

Yesterday was my first day back at work, but Finn had a good day with his dad. How could he not? He got the giggles being air guitar in the morning (like his cousin Joe, he looks good even with KISS makeup Photoshopped on — I know, I got the photo at work). He made a trip into the city for a surprise lunch with his mama (oh, happy me!). And he took a walk in the afternoon with his dad and Aunt Karen.
Today it’s Saturday and back to one of our favorite family routines: hitting the trail at Joaquin Miller Park. Gregg jogs ahead and makes an extra loop; I walk with Finn and we meet up on the return. It’s good to be home.

Best wishes expressed especially for your B-day with love.

Today Finn’s all Irish, thanks especially to Great Auntie Chris and Walt’s beautiful hand-knit gift from their trip to Ireland (and Uncle Ben’s striped socks). And look at that jig! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all.
