We took a trip to Seattle a week and a half ago to visit my oldest friends Alex and Christian and celebrate their tenth anniversary with a fabulous, and fabulously generous, dinner out with friends. Added to that, our boys got to play, Nicholas now two and Finn eight months. Nicholas has a super train set he shared with us, and we had a beautiful walk by Lake Washington.

Ahma’s week-long visit has ended now; she’s back in Providence. But we had a great time with her — Finn got some non-stop Ahma attention, a couple of walks in the woods with her and even a trip to the Monterey Aquarium. He was enthralled with the jellyfish and had a good time in the Splash Zone’s under-three space (padded things to pull himself upon and mirrors at crawl-level!). Thank you so much, Ahma, for the visit!

Thanks auntie, that was a big help. —Finnsdad
