Suddenly Finn’s putting sounds together like never before. He went from “moon” a few months ago to over a dozen. To date he says: moon, bird, mama, daddy, wow, hi, uh-oh, ball (of course), gato (cat), juice, cheese, shoe, fish and tea. Throw some monkey sounds into his repertoire and the new level of communication is such fun.

Grandpa Greg came to visit a couple of weeks ago and it was grrrrreat. We met his sister Lynne at the de Young where it became clear that keeping track of a toddler in a museum is a whole other thing than carting a baby around. That Mark di Suvero sculpture was just magnetic and I had to chase after him several times to keep him from climbing the beams. Fortunately we found refuge in the James Turrell piece — all echoes and light and cool cement.

Finn had a blast with his grandpa. How could he resist the funny voices, crazy faces and wild dancing?

Finn says TTFN in the dawn light.
